Water Bottle Haunted House Craft
Oh, Halloween. It’s my favorite holiday. I love the whole idea of dressing up and spooking up the house in creative ways. And this Water Bottle Haunted House Craft is one of my personal favorite crafts to celebrate this spooky fun holiday!
This Water Bottle Haunted House Craft is so fun, because there are ghosts hiding behind the door and windows! For another Halloween idea using a water bottle, we’ve also made this pretty awesome Water Bottle Frankenstein Craft, too.
For our Water Bottle Haunted House Craft, you’ll first need a clean, dry, and empty plastic water bottle. The rest of our supplies include yellow tissue paper, glue, scissors, a silver metallic marker, and construction paper in black, orange, and white. While we left ours as just a fun table decoration, you could easily turn this Water Bottle Haunted House Craft into a night light with a simple led light set in the water bottle.

Supplies needed:
- plastic water bottle, clean and dry
- yellow tissue paper
- construction paper – black, white, orange
- black pen
- silver metallic marker
- school glue
- scissors
First, cut the top from the water bottle.
With a strip of yellow tissue paper, wrap and glue around the water bottle, covering it entirely.
Cut a sheet of black paper to roughly the width and length of the water bottle.
With the pointy end of the scissors, carefully poke through the black paper and cut rectangles to form a door and windows. Leave one side of the door intact so that it opens and closes.
Cut small ghost shapes out of the white paper. Use a black pen to form basic eyes and a mouth.
Glue the ghost peeking around the corner of the door and in one or two of the windows. Then, Cut 2 thin, long rectangles for every window and glue in a + shape and over any ghosts you have glued in place. Use the silver marker to form two small dots on the door for the knob.
Form a cone with the orange paper. Make wavy lines for a roof effect with the silver marker. Glue or tape to secure. You can either glue this in place on top of the water bottle or keep open to insert an led light.
We hope you have fun with this Water Bottle Haunted House Craft, because we really had a lot of fun making ours! Be sure to check out more of our Halloween crafts and spooky ideas at Our Kid Things!
