We really do love yarn crafts around here. They’re some of our favorites. And it’s so cute how the yarn in this bunny craft makes the tail so soft, which is striking against the bunny silhouette. We have the Free Bunny Silhouette Printable, too!

Bunny Tail Yarn Lacing Craft Step by Step Directions

Begin by printing the bunny silhouette.

Cut bunny silhouette.

Cut out the silhouette.

Glue silhouette on cardstock.

You can either glue the silhouette directly on the color cardstock of choice, or trace on black cardstock then glue. We used black cardstock. Glue slightly off center, more towards the left side of the sheet.

Cut circle where bunny's tail will go.

Now, draw a circle where the bunny tail will go or cut freehand. Either way, have an adult carefully insert a pair of scissors where the bunny tail will go and cut out a circle. It should be about a 2” circle.

Insert hole punch in circle.

Then, insert a hole punch in the circle and begin punching holes around the circle.

Make sure holes aren't too close to the edge.

Insert one end of strand of yarn through hole, tape in place.

Next, cut a long strand of your yarn of choice. Insert one end of the yarn through a hole and tape to the back to start. It also helps lace through the holes if you wrap the other end of yarn in a small piece of tape.

Lace yarn through the holes.

Then begin lacing the yarn through the holes. You will want to lace through the holes multiple times for extra fluffiness.

Tape the final end to the back of the cardstock.
