- Multi-color skein of yarn

Fall Leaf Yarn Craft Step by Step Directions
Begin by printing the leaves and cut out.

Trace the leaf shapes on cardboard.

Cut out the cardboard leaves.

Now, punch holes around the edges of the leaves.

Next, grab a skein of colorful yarn and cut a long piece. We like using the multi-color skeins, but the color of yours is up to you. Bring the beginning end of the yarn through one of the holes to the back and tape to secure.

Use another small piece of tape to wrap around the other end so that it’s easier to lace in and out of the holes without fraying.

Then, start lacing through the holes. In a hole through the back, around the edge of the leaf, and through the back of the next hole.

When we went fully around the leaf one way, we started going back around the other way.

When all the yarn is weaved through the holes, tape the final end to the back of the cardboard.

Such a fun, perfect fine motor craft for fall and they make a gorgeous decoration for the season, too.
