Yarn Wrapped Cardboard Roll Tulips
I can’t convey enough how much I absolutely adore these Yarn Wrapped Cardboard Roll Tulips! We’re so excited at how they turned out, and how easy they are, too. No glue needed! And no green thumb, either! We also have a Free Printable Tulip Template to make creating your tulips even easier!
If you’ve been around here awhile, you may notice how much we love yarn crafts. I think I’d wrap myself in yarn if I could. We also really like flower crafts. In fact, this Plastic Fork Tulips Craft was one of our first posted and still a favorite.
To make our Yarn Wrapped Cardboard Roll Tulips you will need our Tulip Template, toilet paper size cardboard rolls, green yarn, scissors, and cardstock in green as well as spring flowery colors.
Yarn Wrapped Cardboard Roll Tulips
Supplies needed:
- Tulip Template
- Cardboard rolls
- Green yarn
- Cardstock – green, and purple, red, pink, yellow, etc.
- Scissors
Begin by printing the tulip template.
Use the template to trace onto the colored cardstock. Cut out and set aside.
Take a clean cardboard roll and make two snips across from each other on both ends of the roll.
Insert one end of the green yarn into one of the snips.
Wrap the yarn around the roll until covered. Once covered, cut the end and insert into another snip.
We also used a second, lighter color green to give the tulips a bit more dimension. Wrap only a few times with the lighter green and insert the ends into the snips.
Now, insert the tulip into the top snips.
Cut 2 leaf shapes from the green cardstock.
Tuck the leaves under a few of the strands of yarn.
Continue making more colors of tulips.
These tulips are also really cute with our Clothespin Bees Craft.
Such a beautiful, no glue needed, tulip craft that you are sure to love!
