Supplies needed:
- Valentine Robot Template
- Craft sticks
- Pink acrylic paint
- Cardstock – purple, white, red
- Small googly eyes
- Black pen
- Scissors
- Glue
- Heart paper punch (optional)
- 1” circle punch (optional)
- Control panel gismos – buttons, confetti, beads, pens for coloring, etc.
First, paint 7 craft sticks a pink color.
Let dry.
Print the Valentine Robot Template. Trace each onto the purple cardstock and cut out. You’ll need 2 of the big, body rectangles and 1 smaller rectangle for the robot head. Line your craft sticks on one of the body rectangles. 4 craft sticks for legs, 2 for arms, and 1 for the neck. Glue in place like the picture above.
Glue the other body rectangle on top. Also cut rectangles from the purple cardstock scraps for the robot hands and feet.
Glue two small googly eyes to the smaller rectangle. Draw on a robot mouth with the black pen. Glue to the top of the neck craft stick.
Cut rectangles and squares out of the white cardstock to fit on the purple body rectangle. Fill the squares and rectangles with buttons, beads, whatever you have on hand for the robot’s control panels.
We punched hearts out of the red cardstock and drew heartbeat lines in one square on each robot. We also punched a circle with the 1” circle punch, cut in half, and drew dials with the black pen then filled in sections with a pink pen. Make your robots however you want!
