It’s hard to believe that summer is winding down. But then, we get to my favorite season; fall. There’s so much to love about fall. The cooler temperatures, the changing colors, the falling leaves. And our Fall Leaves Slime!
We’ve made plenty of crafts before using fall leaves. A few favorites include this Paper Plate Owl in a Fall Tree, Clothespin and Leaf Turkey Craft, and Fall Leaf Butterfly Craft. Usually, I like to use real leaves whenever possible. Of course, that wouldn’t work very well in slime. But you can easily find the plastic leaf confetti used in a craft store near you or on Amazon below.
My daughter absolutely loves slime. She makes all different kinds. It’s kind of amazing how she’s become like a little scientist. Mixing and tinkering until the slimes turn out just right. Slime can be made in many different ways. This Fall Leaves Slime is a simple mix of clear school glue, water, liquid starch, and fall leaves confetti.

In a large bowl, combine the glue and water.
Mix until well combined.
Add in about a handful of confetti, more or less depending on what you want.
Add the half cup of liquid starch and mix. Keep mixing and kneading until it’s no longer sticky.
Once done, store the Fall Leaves Slime in an air-tight container. This is such a fun way to incorporate fall in our play. And I mean, who doesn’t love slime? Be sure to check out more of our fall craft ideas at Our Kid Things!
