Stuck on You Handprint Cactus Craft
I’m not sure when a prickly, pokey cactus became the it thing to make on Valentine’s Day, but when you can incorporate the little one’s handprint and some fun poms like our Stuck on You Handprint Cactus Craft, I’m all for it. You won’t even feel the thorns, only the love.
Not only is this paper cactus a crafty keepsake to make for Valentine’s Day, but it’s a card, too. The pot the cactus grows in opens up to say Stuck on You. You can also include heart stickers instead of poms, for more heart-y fun. And for even more Valentine’s Day cactus crafts, be sure to check out our Flowering Hearts Cactus Craft, too.
For our Stuck on You Handprint Cactus Craft you will need different shades of green and red cardstock, black and white markers, poms in various sizes and colors, glue, and scissors.

Supplies needed:
- Cardstock – green and red
- Black sharpie
- White marker
- Poms
- Glue
- Scissors
Begin by tracing the little one’s handprint on green paper.
Cut out.
Use the white marker to draw thorns all around the handprint.
Now, fold a sheet of red cardstock in half. Cut a trapezoid out of the red cardstock, with the widest edge at the fold.
You now have a pot/card.
Use the black marker to draw slightly curved lines across the pot.
Write a message on the inside of the card.
With a glue stick, glue the handprint cactus to the back of the pot/card.
Finally, use regular school glue to adhere poms to the finger/branches of the cactus.
This handprint cactus craft will definitely leave a lasting impression! For more fun crafts made with love, be sure to check out more of our Valentine’s Day crafts at Our Kid Things!
