I Whaley Love You Father’s Day Card

Father’s Day is coming up soon, which means now is a great time to come up with some card and craft ideas to show that special guy just how much he’s appreciated. And our Whaley Love You Father’s Day Card is a whale of a good idea!

These Whaley Love You Father’s Day Cards come with a free whale printable template, so there’s no guesswork involved. Simply download and print the free whale template. Then, trace the whale shape onto the felt and cut your pieces form a heart-happy whale.

Along with pieces of dark blue, light blue, and teal felt, you’ll also need white cardstock, googly eyes, glue, scissors, a pencil and black marker, as well as a light blue crayon. On the white cardstock that you’ll adhere your whale to, you can begin by printing out an I Love You message to go around. Or, wait until you’re done and let the kids write their own.

Whaley Love You Father’s Day Card

Supplies needed:

• whale template
• dark blue, light blue & teal felt
• googly eyes
• school glue
• scissors
• white poster board or cardstock
• pencil & black marker
• light blue crayon

Begin by downloading and printing the Whale template. Cut your template out. Cut the whale away from the heart water spray.

Trace your whale template onto your dark blue felt with a pencil or marker. Cut out the whale. Cut the belly of the whale stencil out and trace your template onto teal felt and cut out. Trace the water spray template onto light blue felt and cut out.

Glue your whale onto white poster board or cardstock. Glue your whale’s teal belly onto the bottom of the whale.
Use a black marker to create a blowhole on top of your whale and then glue your light blue water spray coming out of the blowhole. Glue a google eye onto your whale’s face and use a black marker to create expression above the eye. Use the light blue crayon to create water drops from the spray coming from the blowhole.
