It’s not very often when we get a night to ourselves. Especially not these days. So when the occasion arises, we want to make the most of it. Which could just mean relaxing to the fullest. That usually doesn’t involve spending all night in the kitchen, though. Thankfully we don’t have to with Frontera® Skillets with a simple side wrapped up with our Bacon Jalapeño Crescent Poppers.

Although a just the two of us kind of dinner does deserve to be a little extra special. We can still accomplish that with some help from our daily jaunt to Target where we picked up two bags of Frontera Frozen Skillets.

While at Target, we picked up a bag of Frontera® Chicken Fajita Skillet as well as Frontera® Chicken Taco Skillet. One skillet meal for now, and one to save for later. We also grabbed a packet of Frontera® Classic Fajita Skillet Sauce with Chipotle and Lime and Frontera® Chicken Taco Skillet Sauce with Roasted Tomato and Mild Red Chile to make into our own meals in between.

These Bacon Jalapeño Crescent Poppers bring the flavors we all love from grilled Jalapeño Poppers to an easy to put together, straight from the oven, wrapped all together perfectly simple side dish. It’s a great accompaniment to our Chicken Fajita Skillet with just the right amount of heat from the peppers, the crunch of the bacon, the buttery crescent, and melted cheese.

Start by browning 6 slices of bacon. I bake mine in the oven. Once brown and crisp, drain on paper towels. And cut in thirds.

Slice 6 jalapeños. Then, combine 4 oz of softened cream cheese with 1 cup of shredded Monterey Jack cheese. This is my go to cheese for pretty much everything, but feel free to use whatever shredded cheese you like.

Spread out a chilled sheet of crescent dough. Pinch together any seams. Spread the softened cream cheese and shredded cheese mixture across the dough gently, then cut into 1″ strips. Cut those strips in half.

Finally, take a couple sticks of jalapeño as well as a piece of bacon and wrap the crescent dough around.

  1. This looks so delicious! I’m always looking for meals that I can whip up for my husband and I. I feed my four kids first at 5, then wait till 730 to eat with my husband. This would make a great option to add in our dinner rotation! #client
