Cardboard Yarn Wrapped Flowers Craft
We really do adore yarn crafts. You wrap a simple piece of cardboard in some yarn and it’s instantly transformative. Like how this Cardboard Yarn Wrapped Flowers Craft instantly takes me to the beauty and vibrancy of spring. Plus, it’s just fun to wrap.

Of course, there’s a Free Printable Flower Template for the main shape needed. Trace and cut it out of cardboard, then wrap in your choice of yarn. Multi-color skeins are always a hit around here, but you can make your flowers any color you’d like.

Cardboard Yarn Flower Craft Step by Step Directions
Begin by printing the template and cut out.

Trace the template on a sturdy piece of cardboard.

Cut out the flower shape.

Now, tape the beginning end of a skein of green yarn to the back of flower stem. You can use hot glue instead of tape, which may secure it better, but I always try my best to steer clear of hot glue when crafting with kids.

Begin wrapping the stem and leaves section with the green yarn.

Continue wrapping the stem and leaves until you feel it’s complete. Cut and tape the end to the back of the cardboard.

Then, choose the yarn for your flower. Tape the beginning end to the back of the cardboard.

And wrap the yarn around the circle flower section until complete.

Tape the final end of yarn to the back.

So, so pretty! It’s so easy to make many different flowers, as long as you have enough boxes. Then decorate a room for spring.
