Colorful Handprint Spring Chick Craft
Sometimes, you just need a fun, colorful craft. And this Colorful Handprint Spring Chick Craft is definitely colorful and fun! It’s the best kind of spring craft!
We had a lot of fun making these, and I love how the fingers in the handprint become the bird’s feathers. I also love that I was finally able to find a use for the cutest little colored clothespins I found a few months ago. They really make the best stumpy little bird legs.

Colorful Handprint Spring Chick Craft
Supplies needed:
- Craft sticks
- Cardstock – polka dot, assorted colors
- Googly eyes, small
- Clothespins, small
- Glue stick
- Scissors
Begin by folding a piece of colorful cardstock.
On one of the unfolded edges, trace a little one’s handprint.
Cut out so there’s now 2 cut out handprints.
Glue the handprints together, thumbs overlapping.
Now glue 3 craft sticks in a triangle on another shade of colorful cardstock. We used the polka dot cardstock.
Once the glue has set, trim the excess paper around the craft sticks.
Glue the handprints to the back of the bird.
Now fold a small square of the same color cardstock as the handprints. Cut out a folded triangle beak. Glue in place.
Adhere small googly eyes.
And finally attach 2 small clothespins for legs for a rather adorable spring chick!
