If you’re looking for a very last minute Easter craft that’s super cute, then you’re going to love our Fingerprint Bunny Craft! And, the kids get to play and dip their fingers in paint for a sweet and colorful Easter bunny craft.

This Easter bunny craft is a great toddler craft. We have a Free Printable Bunny Face Template that we used glue dots to secure in place on a sheet of cardstock. Then simply dip a finger in paint and dot away! The only trick is to keep a paper towel nearby to wipe your fingers off between colors.

Easter Bunny Fingerprint Craft

To make our fingerprint bunnies you will first need to print our bunny face template.

Craft supplies needed.

You will also need cardstock in your choice of colors, acrylic paint in assorted colors, glue dots, scissors, and a black sharpie.

  • Cardstock – your choice of base colors

  • Glue dots
  • Scissors

Fingerprint Bunny Craft Step by Step Directions

Begin by printing the bunny face template on heavy white cardstock. Or, you can print on regular paper, then trace and cut out on the heavy cardstock color of your choice. This is what we did.

Position bunny template on cardstock.

Choose your base color. I recommend not using a very dark color, but the rest is up to you. Use a few glue dots to secure the template in place in the center of the cardstock. We used one glue dot for each ear and another for the bottom.

Gather all your paints.

Now, gather all your paints and squeeze out either on a palette or paper plate. We used a lot of colors. Your choice of colors is up to you.

Dip a finger in paint.

Then, dip a finger in a paint color.

Use finger to make dots around bunny.
Blue fingerprints.

And begin making dots all around the bunny template.

Continue making dots with all different colors.

Continue making dots with all the different colors.

Make sure edges of bunny template are covered.
Bunny fingerprints.

Make sure that the edges of the template are fully covered with dots.

Carefully remove template.

When your bunny is complete, carefully lift the template up and away from the paint.

Use black marker to draw face.

Finally, use a black sharpie to draw simple eyes, a bunny nose, mouth, and whiskers.
