Fuzzy Pipe Cleaner Cork Chick Craft
There’s nothing better than a super quick, fun craft. The kind that doesn’t require anything fancy, just a few supplies. That’s exactly the kind of the craft this Fuzzy Pipe Cleaner and Cork Chick Craft is!
You can literally make a group of our Fuzzy Pipe Cleaner and Cork Chick Craft chicks in a matter of minutes! We have more chick cuteness, too, with our interactive Easter Egg Hatching Chicks and these fun DIY Spring Chick Planters.
For our Fuzzy Pipe Cleaner and Cork Chick Craft you will need wine corks, yellow pipe cleaners, small googly eyes, orange paper, scissors, and school glue. Super easy, super cute, and thanks to the pipe cleaners, they’re super fuzzy, too!
Fuzzy Pipe Cleaner and Cork Chick Craft
Supplies needed:
- Wine corks
- Yellow pipe cleaners
- Orange construction paper
- Small googly eyes
- Scissors
- School glue
You will need 3 yellow pipe cleaners per chick.
Bend one yellow pipe cleaner about ⅓ of the way into the pipe cleaner. Make 3 small bends total, so it’s like an extended M. Make sure you leave the end of the pipe cleaner a bit longer than the other folds.
Take the end of the pipe cleaner, bunch the folds together, and wrap the end of the pipe cleaner around the remaining length of pipe cleaner to secure for the wing.
Position the wing shape on the edge of the cork and begin to wrap the rest of the pipe cleaner around the cork. Tuck the end of the pipe cleaner under the wrapped pipe cleaner to secure in place. Do the same with a pipe cleaner on the other side for the other wing.
Take one more pipe cleaner, tuck an end under the already wrapped pipe cleaner and wrap around as much of the remaining cork as possible. Again, tuck the last end under the already wrapped pipe cleaner to secure. Position and separate pipe cleaner as needed.
Glue on two small googly eyes. Cut a small square of orange paper. Fold into a triangle. Trim to a beak shape. Glue in place.
Such a darling little Easter and spring craft! Be sure to check out more of our Easter ideas at Our Kid Things!
