Handprint Bear Craft
This Handprint Bear Craft is so bear-y cute! See what I did there? OK, I’ll stop. But I’m just excited to share them with you. They’re such a simple fall craft and a great keepsake!
We thought our bears needed some color, but you could definitely just make yours brown or black, as well. We then put our bears on a simple brown card, because we thought they needed somewhere to live, but that can be switched up, as well. The main idea is the handprint turned into a bear, the rest is up to you!

To make our Handprint Bear Craft as we have made them you will need cardstock in an assortment of colors plus brown, markers in brown and black, 2” and 1” circle punches, small googly eyes, scissors, and a glue stick.
Turn a Handprint into a Bear Craft
Supplies needed:
- Cardstock – brown, orange, yellow, red, pale blue, etc.
- Markers – brown, black
- Googly eyes, small
- 2″ and 1″ circle punches
- Glue stick
- Scissors
Begin with your color of cardstock for the bear. You can go crazy with blue, purple, or red, or stick with more traditional colors of brown, black, or even yellow.
Trace your handprint on the cardstock.
Cut out.
Then trim the wrist area of the handprint so that it’s more rounded and, if needed, shorter.
Now punch a 2” circle and 2 1” circles from the same color cardstock.
Make a nose and mouth with either a brown or black marker on the larger circle. Also color in the inside of the smaller circles for ears.
Glue the ears to the larger circles. Apply googly eyes.
And glue the center of the head to the thumb of the handprint. We tried to leave the sides of the head shape unglued so that we could bend them up slightly for added dimension.
Finally, adhere to a card of brown cardstock.
