Jar of Hearts Card

Shake this Jar of Hearts Card Craft and watch where the hearts fall! Like a Valentine’s Day snow globe craft, only filled with love instead of snow. And in a card format, to give as a gift, too. The perfect card for kids to give grandparents, mom, a special aunt, best friend, or great to give to that special someone.
For our Jar of Hearts Card Craft you will need our Free Printable Jar Template. Also needed is cardstock in red, white, and assorted colors, plastic zip sandwich baggies, heart paper punch, clear tape, black sharpie, a glue stick, and scissors.
Jar of Hearts Card Craft
Supplies needed:
- Jar Template
- Cardstock – red, white, assorted colors
- Zip sandwich baggies
- Heart paper punch
- Clear tape
- Black sharpie
- Glue stick
- Scissors
Begin by printing the Jar Template. Cut the jar shape out.
Fold a full sheet of cardstock in half into a card
Open the card. Trace the jar template on the inside of the front of the card.
Carefully cut out the jar.
On the front, trace the edges of the jar with a black sharpie.
Cut one side of a plastic baggie. Completely tape that the edge of that side to the inside of the card.
Then proceed to cut the other side and bottom of the baggie to fit the jar shape. Tape closed. Make sure the top of the baggie stays easy to open.
Now punch a bunch of hearts out of red cardstock.
Insert the hearts into the baggie. Close the baggie with the zip.
Cut a piece of white cardstock to fit over the jar and baggie. Tape in position.
Glue a couple extra hearts to the front of the card. And write your Valentine’s Day message on the inside.
Shake, shake, shake your jar of hearts around and see where the hearts fall!
