I’ll let you in on a not-so-well-kept secret, I am terrified of bees. There’s nothing scary about our Pop Up Bee Mine Card for Valentine’s Day, however. With our Bee Mine Card Free Printable Template for easier crafting, these buzzy little guys won’t sting at all. In fact, they have my heart. And I’m sure they’ll have yours, too.
For being so frightened of real life bees, we sure do like using them as craft inspiration. There’s our Garden Bees Interactive Craft, a cute Cork Bees Craft, and this Pasta Bees Craft. For Valentine’s Day, though, there’s no better way to say Bee Mine than with our Pop Up Bee Mine Card.
To make our Pop Up Bee Mine Card you will need our Bee Mine Card Free Printable Template, blue cardstock for the card base, as well as yellow, black, and red cardstock for the bees. Along with that you’ll also need small googly eyes, a white marker, a glue stick, and scissors. A 1” circle paper punch and heart paper punch are optional.

- Bee Mine Card Free Printable Template
- Cardstock – blue, yellow, black, red
- Googly eyes, small
- White marker
- Glue stick
- 1” circle paper punch (optional)
- Heart paper punch (optional)
Begin by printing our Bee Mine Card Free Printable Template. Cut out the pieces of the template.
You will need 8 of the large circles total. 5 in yellow cardstock, 3 in black.
Also cut out 2 hearts in red cardstock. And either use the template to cut a smaller circle, or use the 1” circle paper punch. Lastly, you’ll need 2 thin rectangular strips from the black cardstock for antennae.
Now, fold all the larger circles in half.
Start with a folded yellow circle. Glue one side of the yellow to the black circle. Keep going, ending with a yellow circle.
Use the square in the template to cut the size needed from blue cardstock for the card base. And glue the circles to the center of the card.
Adhere the antennae to the back of the smaller black circle.
Position the smaller circle above the larger circles, tucking just behind the top of the larger circles if possible. Complete the face googly eyes.
Glue the hearts on corresponding sides to the first yellow circle. Punch a few hearts with the heart paper punch and glue in place around the bee.
Use the white marker to make cloud like waves.
And write your Bee Mine message.
What a cute, creative card for the classroom! They’ll surely get a lot of buzz!
