Simple Paper Elephant Craft
If you love elephants then you’re going to love this Simple Paper Elephant Craft! All you need is a single sheet of 8.5×11 cardstock, some googly eyes, markers, scissors, and our Free Printable Elephant Template.
My youngest son is fascinated with elephants. He has been since he could recognize what they were. That was a long time ago, now that he’s almost 3. So long ago. Anyway, we loved this elephant craft because it’s so easy to do, transforming one sheet of cardstock into a beautiful creature. And because he loves elephants.

To make our Simple Paper Elephant Craft you will simply need our Elephant Template, 8.5×11 cardstock in grey, purple, blue, or silver, large googly eyes, markers in black or pink, scissors, and a glue stick. The cardstock needs to be 8.5×11 to fit the full page template.
Make a Simple Elephant Craft from Paper
Supplies needed:
- Elephant Template
- 8.5×11 cardstock – grey, silver, purple, blue
- Markers – black, pink
- Googly eyes, large
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Begin by printing and cutting out the template.
Line the template up on a full sheet of cardstock. Trace around the template.
Cut out the elephant shape from the cardstock.
With one of the leftover pieces, trim to form a long curved trunk.
Detail inside the ears and a mouth with either a black or pink marker. Also draw lines along the trunk.
Glue the top of the trunk to the center of the elephant. Also adhere googly eyes.
To further make your elephant stand out, you can fold the trunk then gently unfold. Now. have fun with your simple paper elephants! Make more in different colors.
