Thing 1 and Thing 2 Paper Craft
Break out your favorite books and celebrate Dr. Seuss Day, along with Read Across America Day, with this our Thing 1 and Thing 2 Paper Craft! We’ve included a Free Printable Thing 1 and Thing 2 Template for easier crafting, too.
There’s not many kids who haven’t grown up with Dr. Seuss. His books are so whimsical and fun, a staple of childhood. We had a great time putting this craft together to go with our cherished favorites.
Cut and Paste Thing 1 and Thing 2 Craft
To make our Thing 1 and Thing 2 Paper Craft you will need our Thing 1 and Thing 2 Template, cardstock in red, white, and blue, a black sharpie, glue and scissors.
Thing 1 and Thing 2 Craft Supplies Needed
- Thing 1 and Thing 2 Template
- Cardstock – red, blue, white
- Black sharpie
- Glue stick
- Scissors
Step by Step Instructions
Print the Thing 1 and Thing 2 template. Cut out the pieces.
Trace the hair pattern on blue cardstock, the legs, arms and body patterns on red and the rest of the patterns on white cardstock. Cut out the traced patterns.
Next, glue the head on the hair pattern and attach the leg patterns on the bottom side of the body pattern.
Attach the hand patterns on both sides of the body pattern. Use a fine-tipped black sharpie to write ‘Thing 1’ and ‘Thing 2’ on the white circle.
Then, glue the head on the top of the body pattern. Also, glue the circle number label on the middle of the body pattern.
Finally, use a sharpie to draw faces for Thing 1 and Thing 2.
