My cat is my buddy. She sleeps next to me at night, wants to be right on top of me and my laptop as I’m trying to work, and likes craft time probably even more than I do. She really liked when we made our Paper Plate Cat Craft inspired by her. She’s funny, she’s opinionated, and definitely has her own personality. So I want to make sure she’s satisfied with what she likes best, which is why I treat her to 9Lives®.
Thankfully, it’s easy for me to pick up our favorite 9Lives products for less at our nearby Dollar General. So nearby, in fact, that we can walk to it. It’s like our home away from home. On one of our recent trips, I made sure to pick up a 5.5 oz can each of 9Lives® Meaty Paté Super Supper® and 9Lives® Meaty Paté Mixed Grill. Smooth and Satisfying® 9Lives® Meaty Paté makes a tasty dinner with smooth ground meat, fish or poultry.
Along with the two choices of 9Lives® Meaty Paté, we also picked up 9Lives® Tender Morsels Turkey and Giblets and 9Lives® Tender Morsels Ocean White Fish and Tuna. Because it’s not a happy house when she runs out of food.
It’s good to know that 9Lives is dedicated to the health and happiness of cats everywhere. Because 9Lives believes your cat deserves to live well. While the wet food isn’t her normal, her every day food is dry, for those times when we want to treat her, she’s happy to get 9Lives. It’s easy to see how their wet food varieties give cats the choice of tender, meaty morsels with rich gravy, flakes of fish, savory shreds, or ground cat food with flavor and aroma cats can’t resist. Even our finicky, opinionated cat.
And even our finicky, opinionated cat likes to play. Thus, because we all love craft time, I made her very own Rope-Wrapped Can Cat Toy and Treat Dispenser.
Toys and treats in one? That’s one happy cat. Basically, put a few dry treats in the Can Cat Toy and Treat Dispenser. Then, as the cat bats her toy around, the treats fall out of the center hole punched in the plastic lid. Wrapped in rope and made with cat ears and a tail, too, our Can Cat Toy and Treat Dispenser is a fun toy even if you don’t fill it with treats, though. Or you can use it as simply a storage container for your cat’s food, treats, or toys.
Rope-Wrapped Can Cat Toy and Treat Dispenser
Supplies needed:
- small container with plastic lid
- thick rope
- hot glue
- black cardstock
- black and pink marker
- medium-large googly eyes
- scissors
Start with a clean, dry small container that has a plastic lid.
Tie a knot at the end of a string of rope. Leave a tail from the bottom then begin wrapping around, hot gluing as you go, until you get to the top.
Then, make two lumps for the ears, making sure to hot glue generously on both sides so it sticks. Hold hot glue in place for 10 seconds to fully adhere.
Cut a circle from the center of the plastic lid, just large enough for treats or bites of food. Decorate after your favorite cat. Draw a mouth and whiskers with markers. Glue on googly eyes. Fill with treats, food, toys, or give to your cat to play. This Rope-Wrapped Can Cat Toy and Treat Dispenser would also make a cute pencil holder on a desk.
