Cute Cork Bees Craft
A swarm of bees is pretty much what my nightmares are made of. I’m terrified of those stinging, bzzing buzzers. Not quite as bad as I was when I was a kid. But still, not a fan. I do, however, love a cute bee craft. And I’m buzzed about how this Cute Cork Bees Craft turned out!
In an effort to get over my fear of bees, we’ve tried to see their beauty in cute crafts. We’ve done Pasta Bees which are one of my personal favorites, Milk Jug Bumble Bees, and Clothespin Bees. And now, I’m really loving our Cork Bees Craft, too!
For our Cute Cork Bees Craft, you will need cork coasters that you can get from most craft aisles. I had these octagon ones left over from a project awhile back, but circles would work, too. Then, you’ll need white cupcake liners, black and yellow paint, googly eyes, black cardstock, glue, scissors, and a fine-tip black marker for the mouth.

Supplies needed:
- cork coasters
- white cupcake liners
- acrylic paint – black and yellow
- black cardstock
- googly eyes
- scissors
- school glue
- black fine-tip marker
Begin by painting your coasters black and yellow. Let dry.
Fold a white cupcake liner in half. Then, the half in half, so each is basically ¼ of the cupcake liner, layered. Glue the layers to each other so the bottom doesn’t flap around, then glue to the back of the bee. The cupcake liner wings should bend up slightly to look like the bee is fluttering about.
Cut a small, longer triangle for the stinger from black cardstock.
Also, cut two thin rectangles from the same black cardstock and either cut or use a ¼†hole punch to make two circles on top of the antennae. Glue it all together and glue in place on the bee. Also, glue googly eyes and draw a quick mouth with a marker.
