Supplies needed:

- Cardstock – brown, red, blue, green, etc.
- White paper
- Paper straws, striped
- Buttons and assorted decorations
- White marker
- 1” circle paper punch
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Begin by folding a full sheet of cardstock. Print our Free Printable Template to make it easier.
The main gist is to fold the sheet in half width-wise, then fold those halves in half again. Then, on each fold, fold again about an inch in, include on both sides. See image above. You will also need to make 4 total cuts, 2 on each side, up to the 3rd fold. Again, see image or template.
Bring the middle folds up and glue together at the top.
Now bring the bottom folds down and bring each flap together to make 4 sides. Glue together. You should have a house shape.
Make a door by cutting a small rectangle from another color cardstock. Glue to the center of the front of the house.
Cut corresponding paper straws to fit around the door. Glue in place.
Now make the windows by using the 1” circle paper punch on the same color cardstock as the door. Use the white marker to make lines in the window. Cut the circle in half.
Also use the 1” circle punch to punch a hole in the white paper. Cut a thin strip around the circle. Cut that in half, too. Also cut rectangles with wavy lines on one side.
Glue all the pieces together and glue onto the house.
Place a button above the door.
Fold the white paper and cut in a rectangle. Make wavy lines on the edge that isn’t folded.
Glue to the top of the house.
Now, cut a rectangle from the same cardstock as the windows. Cut another wavy edge in white paper to fit. Glue behind the top of the roof.
Using striped paper straws in the same color as the house cardstock, cut 2 straws in half. Glue along the roof.
