Paper Loop Ladybug Craft

Paper loop crafts are really fun. I know we had a great time making this darling Paper Loop Ladybug Craft and I hope you will, too! It also uses fingerprints for the ladybug dots, just to make this spring ladybug craft extra special.

Paper Loop Spring Ladybug Craft

Paper Loop Ladybug Craft supplies needed.

To make our paper ladybug craft you will first need to download our free printable template. Other supplies include cardstock in black, red, and blue, a white paint marker, small googly eyes, black acrylic paint, scissors, a stapler, and glue.

Paper Ladybug Craft Step by Step Directions

Begin by downloading our ladybug template. Cut out the pieces.

Cut rectangle from black cardstock.

Trace the large rectangle on black cardstock and cut out.

Bring ends together into a loop and secure with glue.

Bring the two ends together into a loop and glue to secure.

Draw clouds with white paint pen on blue cardstock.

Now, draw some simple clouds on a sheet of blue cardstock with the fine tip white paint pen.

Staple loop in center of blue cardstock.

Position the loop in the center of the blue cardstock. Staple in place.

Cut out red circle then cut circle in half.

Then, trace the circle on red cardstock. Cut the circle in half.

Dip finger in black paint.

Pour a bit of black paint. Dip your finger into the paint.

Begin making fingerprint spots over red half circles.

Black fingerprint spots.

And use your finger to make spots around the red half circles. Let the paint dry completely.

Cut two thin strips from black cardstock.

While the paint is drying, cut two thin small strips from black cardstock.

Curl one end of black strips.

Curl one of the ends with your fingers or a pencil to form antennae.

Glue strips in place for antennae.

Glue the antennae in place.

Glue eyes and draw a simple mouth with white paint pen.

Also add googly eyes. Then use the white paint pen to draw the simplest, smallest of mouths.

When paint is dry, glue wings in place.

Ladybug wings.

Finally, when the paint is dry, glue the wings at an angle directly under the mouth.
