It’s a really slow time of year. The days are long and kinda drab and the crafting motivation is hard to come by. We did manage to do a few really quick and simple Valentine’s Day crafts, though. In fact, I’m confident this Heart People Craft will surely brighten anyone’s day.

You don’t need many supplies for this easy Valentine’s Day craft. There’s not even a template to print. Actually, this is a great craft to work on cutting out your own hearts, in any size you want them to be.

This is such a fun Valentine’s Day craft for toddlers, and perfect for any last minute heart-themed crafting!

Valentine’s Day Heart People Craft

For our simple heart people craft you will need cardstock in red, pink, purple, or any color you’d like for your Valentine hearts.

You’ll also need pipe cleaners, a black pen or sharpie, tape, large googly eyes, and scissors.

Heart People Valentine’s Day Craft Supplies Needed

Cardstock – red, pink, purple, etc
Pipe cleaners – assorted colors
Googly eyes, med-large
Black pen
Tape
Scissors

Heart People Craft Step by Step Directions

Begin by cutting a heart out of your color choice of cardstock.

For the littler ones, you may need to draw a heart for them to cut out. Make the heart any size you’d like.

Gather two pipe cleaners. Bend one of the pipe cleaners in half.

Now, gather two pipe cleaners in your choice of colors. Bend one of the pipe cleaners in half.

Tape bent pipe cleaner to bottom of heart.

Then, use tape to adhere the folded point of the pipe cleaner towards the bottom of the heart for legs.

Tape the other pipe cleaner across the middle of the heart.

Flip the heart back over and bend the ends of the pipe cleaners.

Next, add googly eyes.

Finally, draw a simple mouth with a black marker or sharpie to complete these darling and super easy Valentine’s Day crafts for kids!
