Cardboard Roll Handprint Turkey Craft
Handprints and turkey crafts go together like peanut butter and jelly. They just make sense. We’re putting the two together in our fun and sweet Cardboard Roll Handprint Turkey Craft. It’s a super cute Thanksgiving craft that also works as a lovely holiday keepsake, and you’re reusing a regular household item, too.

So instead of throwing away your toilet paper rolls, be sure to save them. Did you know you can also buy just the cardboard rolls for crafts? No toilet paper needed. I save ours, though, and you should see my stash. It’s kind of impressive.

Handprint Turkey Cardboard Roll Craft
For our handprint turkey craft you’ll need toilet paper size cardboard rolls, cardstock in brown, yellow, red, and other Thanksgiving colors of your choice, small googly eyes, a 2” circle paper punch, brown acrylic paint, scissors, and a glue stick.

Turkey Handprint Craft Supplies Needed
- Cardboard rolls
- Brown acrylic paint
- Cardstock – brown, yellow, red, other colors of choice
- Googly eyes, small
- 2” circle paper punch
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Handprint Turkey Craft Step by Step Directions
Start making your turkey by painting the cardboard roll brown. We started with a white cardboard roll, but even the brown rolls you will want a deeper brown.

Let the paint dry completely.

While the paint is drying, trace handprints on the cardstock colors of choice. You will need 3 handprints in 3 different colors for each turkey.

Cut out the handprints.

Glue three handprints together.

Also, punch a circle from brown cardstock with a 2” circle paper punch punch. Cut a small yellow triangle beak and red oval wattle, too. Glue all of this together on the circle with small googly eyes.

Glue the circle to the front top of the cardboard roll.

Lastly, glue the handprints to the back top of the cardboard roll to complete your sweet handprint Thanksgiving keepsake craft. They’re a fun fall table decoration, too.
