Paper Bag Turkey Craft
This Paper Bag Turkey Craft is about as simple as a Thanksgiving craft can get, making it perfect for toddlers and preschoolers. It’s made with a paper bag out of simple shapes, rectangles and triangles. They are super cute and so fun!

What I love about this paper bag turkey craft, and really most turkey crafts in general, is that it’s great for making the simple rectangle strip feathers as colorful as you want. You can go with the normal Thanksgiving turkey colors of red, yellow, and orange or make your feathers in the colors of the rainbow. There’s no wrong answer here

Easy Paper Bag Thanksgiving Turkey Craft
For our paper bag turkey craft you’ll need brown paper lunch bags, cardstock in assorted Thanksgiving colors, medium sized googly eyes, scissors, and a glue stick.

Paper Bag Turkey Craft Supplies Needed
- Paper bags
- Cardstock – red, yellow, orange, etc.
- Googly eyes, medium
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Thanksgiving Turkey Craft Step by Step Directions
Start by gathering your colors of cardstock for the feathers. You can go with typical red, yellow, and orange or add in some green, purple, and blue, too. The colors you choose for your turkeys are up to you.

Cut strips from the width of the cardstock, the strips 1-2″ wide.

Now, cut the strips in half and begin gluing around the top of the bag.

You can add as many strips as you’d like to make it as full as you’d like.

Next, cut 3 triangles from the yellow cardstock. Also cut an oval, or raindrop, shape from red cardstock.

Cut the body of the bag in half.

Then, glue eyes in place on the flap of the bag.

Glue the red oval off to the side of a triangle for the beak. Glue the beak in place.

Finally, glue the other two triangles by the top point to the bottom of the bag. This should leave the flat edge of the triangle for the feet, and completes your super cute preschool paper bag Thanksgiving craft.
