Crayon Resist Watercolor Skeleton Craft
Crayon resist art crafts are some of our favorite ways to create unique works of art. The white lines of the crayon resist work so well for the skeletons in our Crayon Resist Watercolor Skeleton Craft for Halloween, too! This craft is so perfectly simple, it’s a great kids art craft to make all the way up to trick or treat day.

The general theme of this craft is that you draw your design with a white crayon, then paint over with watercolors. It’s creative and awesomely unique each and every time.

For littler ones, however, who may not be that great at finding their lines, we’ve used a peach colored crayon in the past, or light silver, so that we can see what we’re doing. The end effect is the same. Cuts down on the surprise aspect, but maybe also alleviates a bit of the frustration.
Crayon Resist Skeleton Watercolor Art Craft
To make our super simple crayon resist skeletons, you’ll need only heavy white cardstock, a white crayon, and watercolor paints.

Watercolor Crayon Resist Skeleton Craft Supplies Needed
- Heavy white cardstock
- White crayon
- Watercolors
Crayon Resist Skeleton Craft Step by Step Directions
Begin by gathering your watercolors with a cup of water and brush. All the normal watercolor things. You will also need a white crayon and sheet of heavy white cardstock. The white cardstock holds up better to the watercolor paints.

Now, draw your skeleton. If you’d rather see your lines, you can use a peach or any very light colored crayon.

Then, when your skeleton is drawn, begin painting over the lines with watercolor paints.

Play with different Halloween color combinations and just have fun with it!

Continue adding watercolors until the page is full.

When finished, find somewhere to set the watercolor flat and let the paint dry completely. While the first skeleton is drying, you can always make more with more fun color combinations!
