Handprint Hot Chocolate Craft Stick Craft
When the cold weather hits, we break out the hot chocolate. This year, when the cold weather started to hit, we also brought out this adorable Craft Stick Handprint Hot Chocolate Craft! The handprint is used for the steam of the piping hot cocoa. There’s nothing better on a cold day!
Those little hands get a workout with this craft. Not only do they have to lift the cup of hot cocoa, but we need to trace them for our hot chocolate craft, and then they’re needed to put it all together.
Drinking hot chocolate while making the sweetest hot chocolate handprint craft? It’s a tough life, but somehow I think we’ll manage.
Winter Craft Stick Hot Cocoa Handprint Craft
To make our handprint hot chocolate craft, you will need regular craft sticks, acrylic paint in your choice of colors, cardstock in coordinating colors as well as white, a snowflake paper punch, a black pen, scissors, and a glue stick.
Handprint Hot Chocolate Craft Supplies Needed
- Craft sticks
- Acrylic paint – choice of colors
- Cardstock – white, choice of colors
- Black pen
- Snowflake paper punch
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Hot Cocoa Craft Step by Step Directions
You will need 7 regular craft sticks per hot chocolate craft.
Paint the craft sticks in your choice of colors. We painted ours blue and purple. Let the paint dry completely.
When the paint is completely dry, glue the craft sticks to a scrap piece of cardstock cut to fit the width. This is the easiest way we’ve found to glue craft sticks together. You can use hot glue if you prefer.
Then, cut a handle from a coordinating color of cardstock.
Glue the handle to the side of the craft sticks.
Next, trace a handprint with a black pen on white paper or cardstock.
Draw steam lines with the black pen in the handprint.
Cut around the black outline of the handprint.
Glue the handprint to the top of the cup of hot chocolate.
Finally, use the snowflake punch on white cardstock to make snowflakes. You could use stickers, instead, or a white paint pen to create your own winter design. Writing your name in white paint pen on the front of the cup would be really cute, too.
Glue the snowflakes over the front of the cup of hot cocoa to complete this darling winter handprint craft.

Notes
- Instead of using a snowflake paper punch, you could use stickers or a white paint pen to create your own winter design. Writing your name in white paint pen on the front of the cup would be really cute, too.
