Just print our Free Trick or Treat Bag Printable on the cardstock of your choice and add hands for the cutest Halloween keepsake craft. Because the best part of Halloween night is filling up the bag with candy, of course.

The other best part of Halloween is dressing up in the costume of choice. And this craft is so fun, because it combines that, too. You can make the hands for this craft into any kind of character. You can’t trick or treat without being in costume. We made ours into a skeleton, ghost, witch, and a monster. We also had ideas for spiderman, hulk, and a princess, too.

- Scissors
- Glue stick
- Embellishments – markers, stickers, etc.
Halloween Handprint Craft Step by Step Directions
Begin by printing the treat or treat bag printable.

You can print this on any color cardstock you’d like. Or go with white for more vibrant colors.

Now, trace handprints on another color of cardstock. Whatever color you’d like to go with the costume you’re creating.

Cut out the handprints.

Then, glue the handprints coming from the sides of the cardstock, like they’re holding the bag.

Finally, get your handprints in costume. We’re using white handprints for a simple ghost costume. We also did green witch hands, black skeleton hands, and fun purple and pink monster hands.
For the witch’s hands, we cut small triangles from black cardstock to make the fingernails. Same concept with the monster’s hands, only bright pink cardstock was used for the triangles. Then, we added details with a black sharpie pen.

A white paint pen was used to detail and finish the skeleton hands.
