Simple Shapes Paper Leprechaun Craft supplies needed.

To make our Simple Shapes Leprechaun Craft you will first need our free printable leprechaun template. The rest of the supplies include cardstock, small googly eyes, a black pen, craft flowers, scissors, and a glue stick.

St. Patrick’s Day Leprechaun Craft Step by Step Directions

Begin by printing the template. Cut out the pieces.

Cut out template pieces.

Trace the beard circle on orange cardstock. Trace the face circle on light skin tone. The small nose circle on pink. The square and longer rectangle for the hat trace on black paper. And finally, trace the remaining rectangle on yellow cardstock. Cut out all the pieces.

Glue face circle to green cardstock.

Glue the face circle near the center of a sheet of green cardstock.

Cut beard in circle and cut waves on curve.

Cut waves on curves of beard.

Now, cut the beard circle in half. Cut a wavy edge around the curve of the half circle.

Cut out an inner piece from beard.

Then, cut out a piece from the inside of the half circle. This is now the beard.

Glue beard in place on face.

Glue the beard to the face.

Glue belt to square hat shape.

Next, glue the pieces of the hat together. The yellow belt glue near the bottom of the square.

Glue brim to hat.

Then, glue the brim to the hat.

Glue hat in place directly above beard.

Glue the hat in place, the bottom of the hat meeting the top of the beard.

Add googly eyes and small circle pink nose.

Draw a simple mouth with a black pen.

Add a small craft flower to hat.

Finally, we added a small craft flower to the belt of the hat, just for an extra little touch.

Materials

  • Leprechaun template
  • Cardstock - green, light skin tone, orange, black, yellow, pink

Instructions
