Cardboard Roll Crayon Craft
The days leading up to the start of school are sure to be fun with our Cardboard Roll Crayon Craft! And while this is a great back to school craft, it’s also a fun craft just because for any time of year. Because crayons are fun any time of year.

Fun Kids Crayon Craft
To make this super cute crayon craft, first you’ll need our crayon template.
You’ll also need toilet paper size cardboard rolls, construction paper in pink, black, and an assortment of crayon colors, a black marker, googly eyes, scissors, and a glue stick.
Cardboard Roll Crayon Craft Supplies Needed
- Crayon Template
- Cardboard roll
- Construction paper – pink, black, assorted crayon colors
- Black marker
- Googly eyes, medium
- Glue stick
- Scissor
Crayon Cardboard Roll Step by Step Directions
Begin with a toilet paper size cardboard roll.
Cover the toilet paper roll with your chosen crayon-colored paper. For this crayon, we’re working with red. Glue or tape the paper in place.
Next, print the template and cut out the pieces. Trace and cut the half-ish circle piece from the same colored paper as the crayon. Bring the ends together into a cone shape.
Attach the cone shape to the toilet paper roll.
Now, use a black marker to draw a curved line along the top and bottom of the cardboard roll.
Add the googly eyes and draw a smile with the black marker.
Finally, use the template to cut a ribbon from pink paper or cut the mustache from black paper. Add this piece to your crayon for a fun finishing touch!
