Coffee Filter Watercolor Peacock Craft
This Coffee Filter Watercolor Peacock Craft is so fun and super colorful, just like the bird itself. We made the watercolors with washable markers, and it makes it so easy to get a bright, vibrant design of beautiful feathers for every peacock.

There are so many fun aspects of this craft. So much paint and color, and the end result is a really pretty peacock with a vibrant array of feathers and a really great watercolor craft for summer. It’s also completely unique every time, because the design you give it won’t be the same twice.

Watercolor Coffee Filter Peacock Craft
To make our peacock craft you will need coffee filters, washable markers, water, jumbo craft sticks, yellow cardstock, acrylic paint, small googly eyes, scissors, and a glue stick.

Coffee Filter Watercolor Peacock Craft Supplies Needed
- Coffee filters
- Acrylic paint – blue, purple
- Washable markers – assorted colors
- Spray bottle of water
- Jumbo craft sticks
- Googly eyes, small
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Peacock Craft Step by Step Directions
Begin by flattening out a coffee filter.

Now, draw a design on the coffee filter with washable markers.

The more colored in the design, the more vibrant the end result will be.

Once you have the design colored on the coffee filter with washable markers, take a spray bottle and spray the coffee filter. Give it a good spray once or twice. Too much water will make all the color bleed away. We learned this the hard way. One, or at most two, good sprays is perfect.

Let the coffee filters dry completely.

While the coffee filters are drying, paint your jumbo craft sticks. We painted ours blue and purple. Let that paint dry completely, too.

Next, when everything is dry, gather a jumbo craft stick and one of the watercolor coffee filters.

Fold the coffee filter in half and glue.

Then glue the coffee filter to the top half of the craft stick.

Finally, add googly eyes. Cut a small triangle beak from the yellow cardstock and glue in place below the googly eyes.

Aren’t they so pretty? We love all the elements of this craft and hope you have fun making yours, too!
