Craft Stick Rocket Craft
Get ready to light up the sky with this fun Jumbo Craft Stick Rocket Craft! A great craft for Independence Day or any patriotic holiday with fireworks, or for blasting off on a space theme. Complete with a Free Printable Template, too.
We wanted to use our rockets to celebrate the 4th of July so we made them in patriotic red and blue colors. Glue the pieces to a jumbo craft stick, then add stars for an amazing and oh so easy rocket craft!
Make a Rocket Craft with a Craft Stick
To make our patriotic rockets you will need our printable template, which helps with the sizing for the few pieces you’ll need.
Along with the template, you’ll also need jumbo craft sticks, acrylic paint in red and blue, cardstock in blue, red, orange, and yellow, a star paper punch, a glue stick, and scissors.
Craft Stick Rocket Craft Supplies Needed
- Jumbo craft sticks
- Acrylic paint – red, blue
- Cardstock – red, blue, orange, yellow
- Star paper punch
- Glue stick
Patriotic Rocket Craft Step by Step Directions
Begin by painting the craft sticks red or blue.
Let the paint dry completely.
Print the template and cut out the pieces. Trace the cone on red or blue cardstock, and the fins on the other color. Trace the flame on orange. Cut all the pieces from the cardstock.
Now, glue the smaller triangle cone in place at the top of the craft stick.
Glue the larger triangle fins to the bottom back of the craft stick.
Then glue the flame behind the fins.
Next, punch 3 stars from the yellow paper.
Glue the stars in place going down the front of the rocket.
Your rockets are ready to blast off! We had a lot of fun with this craft!
