Cupcake Liner Christmas Ornament Craft
Use cupcake liners to get creative this Christmas season with our Cupcake Liner Ornament Craft! It’s a super fun and easy Christmas craft for toddlers that’s a great way to get those creative juices flowing.
All you really need besides the cupcake liners and cardstock is a white pen to make the design. We actually used a white chalk marker. You can find these at Dollar Tree, I always grab a couple every time I go.
While we used a white chalk marker, you could also try to make these ornaments with markers for more color. However you make them, they’re a great way to get creative and pass some time.
Christmas Ornament Cupcake Liner Craft
To make our cupcake liner ornament craft, you’ll need cupcake liners in assorted colors, cardstock in silver as well as your choice of background color, a white chalk marker, metallic marker, and a glue stick.
Christmas Cupcake Liner Craft Supplies Needed
- Cupcake liners – assorted colors
- Cardstock – silver, your choice of colors
- White chalk marker
- Metallic marker
- Glue stick
Christmas Ornament Craft Step by Step Directions
To start, grab your choice of cupcake liners and the background cardstock. We chose a dark gray color for our background, but you can choose whatever color you’d like.
Now, flatten the cupcake liners.
Glue the cupcake liners in place along cardstock. Try to glue the cupcake liners as flat as possible, without bumps and ridges, as it will be easier to decorate. You should be able to fit 3 cupcake liners on a sheet of cardstock placed horizontally.
Next, use a white chalk marker to draw a line coming from the cupcake liner ornaments to the top of the page.
Draw designs on the ornaments with the white chalk marker, too.
Lastly, cut some small rectangles from silver cardstock.
Draw detail lines on the rectangles with your choice of metallic marker. We used a gold metallic marker.
Finally, glue the rectangles for the caps on the top of the ornaments to complete this super fun, creative Christmas craft idea!
