Cupcake Liner Christmas Tree Ornament Craft
While it’s not time to put it up just yet, we’re still planning out our Christmas tree and making this super cute Cupcake Liner Christmas Tree Ornament Craft! You can make a whole bunch of these Christmas ornaments in a mix of colors, all with cupcake liners and metallic markers.

Using a cupcake liner is such an easy way to make a Christmas tree. All you need to do is fold in two sides to make a point, the basic shape is already there. We used green cupcake liners and a few blue, too, just to mix it up a bit.

Then, simply decorate your Christmas ornament craft with metallic markers to form the lights on the tree. Of course, you also have to top your tree with a star. Then, just add a string and hang all your handmade Christmas tree ornaments on the Christmas tree.
Christmas Tree Ornament Cupcake Liner Craft
To make our Christmas tree ornament craft you’ll need cupcake liners, metallic markers, regular wooden craft sticks, yellow cardstock, a star paper punch, twine, scissors, and a glue stick.

Christmas Tree Craft Supplies Needed
- Cupcake liners – green, blue
- Metallic markers – assorted colors
- Craft sticks
- Yellow cardstock
- Star paper punch
- Twine
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Cupcake Liner Christmas Tree Craft Step by Step Directions
Begin by gathering cupcake liners and regular wooden craft sticks. We used green and blue cupcake liners.

Fold in one side of the cupcake liner.

Then, fold in the other side, so it ends in a point.

Now, use metallic markers to draw a strand of lights across the tree. We like using metallic markers because the colors tend to be brighter than regular markers.

When the lights are made, glue the top of a craft stick and insert into the pocket made from the folds of the cupcake liner. You can glue the top fold down at this time, as well.

Punch a star out of yellow cardstock.

Glue the star in place at the top of the tree.

Finally, add a loop of twine to the back of the tree so it’s ready to hang and decorate the tree! This is such a fun Christmas kids craft, we hope you like it as much as we do!
