- 4×6 photos
- Paper plates
- Acrylic paint – your choice of colors
- Cardstock – black, yellow, your choice of colors
- Black sharpie
- 1” circle paper punch

Paper Plate Graduation Craft Step by Step Directions
Begin by painting a paper plate in your choice of colors.

Let the paint dry completely.

While the paint is drying, print the graduation award template and cut out the pieces. Trace the cap on black cardstock and two of the ribbons on your color of choice. Cut out the pieces.

Now, complete the cap by punching a 1” circle from yellow cardstock. Also cut a rectangle slightly smaller in width from the same yellow cardstock.

Cut slits in the yellow rectangle, to make the tassel.

Glue the yellow circle to the top of the yellow rectangle.

Then glue the tassel to the side of the cap.

Next, when the paint on the paper plate is dry, cut a jagged edge around the outside of the plate.

Use the circle from the template to draw a circle in the center of the plate.

Have an adult carefully insert scissors into the center of the plate and cut around the circle.

Position a photo in the circle and tape in place.

At this point, it’s time to glue the ribbons to the bottom of the paper plate.

Glue the cap in place at the top of the paper plate.

Finally, you can use a black marker to write the year on the ribbons.

This is such a great way to make your little graduate feel so very, very special!
