Craft Stick Mushroom Craft
It’s time for a super quick and easy spring craft! This Craft Stick Mushroom Craft is so fun, needing only a few supplies. To me, being the age that I am, they remind me of Super Mario Bros. For the little ones, though, this is a fun way to work on shapes, measuring, cutting, and counting.
Any time you can play with buttons, it’s a good time. We do love buttons. And we love craft sticks. We also love offering you a Free Printable Mushroom Template for all the cardstock pieces to this craft, to make it all just that much easier.
Craft Stick Button Mushroom Craft
To make our mushroom craft, you will first need to print the mushroom template. You will also need red cardstock, white buttons, regular and jumbo craft sticks, glue, and scissors.
Craft Stick Mushrooms Craft Supplies Needed
- Mushroom Template
- Regular craft sticks
- Jumbo craft sticks
- Red cardstock
- White buttons
- Glue
- Scissors
Spring Mushroom Craft Step by Step Directions
Download, print and cut out mushroom template patterns.
Trace the curved mushroom shapes onto red cardstock, and the rectangles on whatever scrap of cardstock you may have. Cut out the patterns.
Line up three wide and six narrow craft sticks. Do not overlap the craft sticks. Glue each set of craft sticks together to a scrap rectangle piece of cardstock, cut to size from the template..
Next, randomly glue a variety of white buttons to each of the red cardstock mushroom caps.
Now, flip the mushroom caps over and attach the craft stick stems. One jumbo craft stick stem to the smallest cap.
Glue the six regular craft sticks stem to the tallest cap and the three jumbo craft sticks stem to the largest cap.
So easy! Such a great spring craft activity to complete in an afternoon!
