Easy Paper Scarecrow Craft
Scarecrow crafts are always fun to welcome the fall season. Our newest, this Easy Paper Scarecrow Craft, uses not much more aside from cardstock and our Free Printable Scarecrow Template. Just cut out the pieces and paste together!

This scarecrow craft is an especially good toddler craft for fall as it has big pieces, which are easier for little hands to cut out and hold. There’s really no way to mess up a scarecrow, either, as they’re meant to look messy and slightly disheveled. They’ve been hanging out, scaring off crows, after all.

Fall Scarecrow Toddler Craft
To make our easy fall scarecrows you will first need our scarecrow template.

You’ll also need cardstock in brown, black, and the colors of your choice, scissors, and glue or a glue stick. You can also use large googly eyes, but we cut out circles to make our eyes this time, instead.
Easy Scarecrow Craft Supplies Needed
- Scarecrow Template
- Cardstock – brown, black, yellow, colors of choice
- Glue
- Scissors
Paper Scarecrow Craft Step by Step Directions
Begin by printing the template and cut out the pieces.

Trace the rectangle body piece on brown cardstock and cut out. Trace and cut out the hat from black cardstock. Make the overalls in the color you choose.

Glue the overalls to the brown cardstock.

Glue the hat on top, as well.

Next, cut strips of cardstock for the hair. We used green, but traditional yellow straw hair is always a good choice, too.

Add the hair strips to the black cap.

Now, cut small, thin strips from yellow cardstock.

Glue the strips in a hashtag pattern somewhere on the scarecrow.

Cut a rectangle of any size from another color of your choice

Glue the rectangle somewhere on the overalls.

Cut strips of black and add them around the sides of the rectangle.

Lastly, cut circles from black and white cardstock to make the eyes. Or, you can always just add the googly eyes.
