When we were thinking of fall animals to craft, we realized that we’ve yet to do anything with deer. Of course, you mostly think of deer at Christmas, but fall deer need some love, too! Then it only made sense to bring some color into the creativity.

Easy Fall Deer Paper Plate Craft
For our fall deer craft, you’ll need paper plates, gray acrylic paint, cardstock in black along with your choice of colors, a 1” circle paper punch, medium sized googly eyes, scissors, and a glue stick.

Paper Plate Deer Craft Supplies Needed
- Paper plate
- Gray acrylic paint
- Cardstock – black, choice of colors
- 1” circle paper punch
- Googly eyes, medium
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Fall Deer Craft Step by Step Directions
Start by painting a paper plate gray.

Let the paint dry completely.

When the paint is completely dry, cut the paper plate in fourths. So you will have four paper plate pie-like, triangle-ish shapes.

Now, from the width of the cardstock in the color of your choice, cut two strips. One should be wider than the other strip.

Cut the wider strip in half. The other strip cut in fourths.

Glue two of the shorter strips to each of the half strips to make antlers.

Then, glue the antlers to the top of the paper plate shape.

Next, use the 1” circle punch to make a circle from black cardstock and glue at the tip of the triangle.

Finally, glue medium sized googly eyes in place to complete your super cute and easy fall deer. You still have three paper plate triangles, so it’s time to make more deer in more fun colors!
