Paper Shapes Uncle Sam Craft
Continue working on shapes for the little ones while also making a really fun 4th of July craft with our Paper Shapes Uncle Sam Craft! It’s made with not much more than a circle, rectangle, and a square. All included in our Free Printable Uncle Sam Template, too, for super easy crafting.
There’s nothing more American than Uncle Sam. If you don’t have a chance to make our Uncle Sam craft for July 4th, you could save it for Memorial Day. In fact, he’d fit right in at any patriotic celebration!
Make our Paper Uncle Sam Craft with Shapes
To make our Shapes Uncle Sam Craft you will first need our Uncle Sam template.
The remainder of the supplies include cardstock in red, white, blue, and a scrap of pink, as well as a star paper punch, large googly eyes, scissors, and a glue stick.
Paper Shapes Uncle Sam Craft Supplies Needed
- Uncle Sam template
- Cardstock – red, white, blue, pink
- Googly eyes, large
- Star paper punch
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Uncle Sam Paper Craft Step by Step Directions
Begin by printing the template. Cut out the pieces. You can keep the large circle and mustache piece on white paper.
Cut the white circle in half.
Make some wavy edges around the half circle face shape. Also, fold the half circle in half and cut out a sliver for the mouth.
Now, unfold the half circle and glue the mustache over the mouth.
Trace the rectangle on either the red or blue cardstock and cut out. Cut out the square on the other color. Glue the rectangle over the bottom edge of the square to make the hat.
Then glue the hat over the face shape.
Next, adhere googly eyes and a simple pink circle nose.
Finally, use the star paper punch to make some stars. I’ve also included a star shape on the template, but you could use star stickers, too. Affix the stars in place along the brim of the hat.
And your simple, made with shapes Uncle Sam craft is ready to celebrate! Super cute!
