Paper Strip Handprint Flag Craft
We hope you’ll love making this Paper Strip Handprint Flag Craft for the 4th of July! It’s a super easy flag craft perfect for holiday decoration with a touch of sweet keepsake.
This a great patriotic handprint craft. Not only that, however, it also requires cutting strips of red and white paper, thus making it great for scissor practice, too.
Make a Handprint Flag Craft for July 4th
To make our Paper Strip Handprint Flag Craft you will need paper in silver, red, white, and blue, a white pen, scissors, and a glue stick.
Paper Flag Craft Supplies Needed
- Light cardstock – silver, red, white, blue
- White pen
- Scissors
- Glue stick
Handprint USA Flag Craft Step by Step Directions
Begin with a full sheet of silver cardstock. This is your base. Lay it width-wise.
Now, gather the red and white paper. Cut in strips width-wise.
Glue the strips in the center of the base cardstock, red then white and so on, forming the stripes of the flag.
Next, trace a handprint on blue paper. You could do this step by painting the hand in place, too, if you prefer. My 3 year old is a wiggle monster, so I prefer to use paper.
Cut out the handprint and glue in place on the upper left corner.
Finally, use a white pen to draw stars across the handprint.
This flag looks so great, and completely personalized, hanging up as decoration for the 4th of July!
