Because you need to have jack-o-lanterns to paint, we’ve also made sure to include Free Jack-O-Lantern Printables. This is a sheet of 4 large pumpkins, each with slightly different faces, that are easy to paint with q-tips. Use a single q-tip at a time, or rubber band some q-tips together for larger areas. Either way, this is a fun Halloween art and craft project!

Q-Tip Jack-O-Lantern Painting Craft Supplies Needed
- Jack-O-Lantern Printables
- White cardstock
- Q-Tips
- Acrylic paint – orange, black, brown, colors of your choice
Jack-O-Lantern Painting Craft Step by Step Directions
Begin by printing the jack-o-lanterns.

You will want to print the jack-o-lanterns on heavier white cardstock, just so it holds up to the paint better.

Now, gather a handful of q-tips and your colors of acrylic paint. You will need orange, black, and brown acrylic paint for the pumpkin itself. Choose the background colors of your choice. We went with blue, green, a darker brown, and yellow for our background colors.

Next, dip a q-tip in paint.

When going over larger areas, use a small rubber band to bundle 5 or so q-tips together.

Begin stamping the q-tips over the jack-o-lantern pictures.

Use a single q-tip to paint the eyes.

And a single q-tip to paint the stem, too.

Then, finish the jack-o-lanterns by using a bundle of q-tips to paint the jack-o-lantern background. Let all the paint dry completely.
