This 4th of July, I’m sure there will be plenty of pictures taken. Why not put a bit more stars, stripes, and pizzazz in those photos with these adorable July 4th Photo Props Crafts! We have easy ways to make patriotic glasses and a super fun patriotic mustache, too.

Patriotic Photo Props Crafts

These July 4th photo props are very simply made with patriotic paper straws. Kids will have a blast both creating these patriotic photo prop crafts, then taking some really fun pictures to celebrate and commemorate the Independence Day holiday. 

4th of July Glasses Paper Straw Craft

July 4th Photo Prop Crafts

While these are two separate July 4th photo props crafts, they use the same list of supplies. You will need paper straws, glitter paper in red and blue, cardstock in white, glue, and scissors. You may also want a star paper punch.

Craft supplies needed.

Patriotic Photo Props Craft Supplies Needed

  • Mustache Template
  • Patriotic paper straws
  • Glitter paper – red, blue
  • White cardstock
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors

July 4th Mustache Craft

Begin by printing the mustache template on white cardstock and cut out. 

Trace and cut out mustache.

Trace the mustache on a sheet of red glitter cardstock and cut out. 

Cut another mustache in blue, cut in half.

Do the same to make a mustache on blue glitter cardstock. Cut the blue mustache in half.

Glue blue mustache to one half of red.

Glue the blue half onto one half of the red mustache, so the mustache is half blue and half red. 

Glue both sides of mustache to template.

Next, use a star paper punch or cut small stars from white cardstock and add it to the blue side.

Glue paper straws on both sides of mustache.

Lastly, attach two paper straws on both sides to finish your prop.

4th of July Glasses Craft

Begin with 2 patriotic paper straws.

Fold paper straws into a circle.
Paper straw circles.

Press each paper straw flat then fold in a circle. Glue the ends together to secure. You can use glue dots if needed, or hot glue.

Cut two small pieces of blue paper straw.

Now, cut two small strips from a blue paper straw.

Glue small straw pieces connecting circles.

Glue one blue straw piece connecting the circles in front, and one blue straw piece connecting in back, too.

Glue paper straw to side of glasses.

Next, add a full paper straw to the side of the glasses.

Cut triangles from red glitter paper.

Lastly, cut triangles from red glitter paper. 

Glue triangles to top of glasses.

Glue the triangles to the top of the circles to finish your photo prop.
